Dubai development.

Duabi or dubai city is located on the northern tip of the united arab emeritus on the persian gulf. it has been ruled
by the al maktoum dynasty since 1833 and has existed in its modern state since 1971. the current ruler is  mohammed bin rashid al maktoum, who is also the prime minister and vice president of the united arab emirates.
the rather small city has a population of 1.6 million people and a 37 billion USD economy based largely on trade, manufacturing and financial services.

Contrary to popular belief petrol and natural gas only make up a small percentage of revenues.
the city has gained world-wide attention in the past few years because of its booming economy and ambitious  architectural projects. with a focus on business and tourism, the city is ramping up construction on an unprecedented level. in fact, dubai is said to be home to 15% to 25% of the world's 125,000 construction cranes.

Don't think that the architectural expansion is over, because a slew of new project are on the table and in the works as we speak.

Burj Al Arad.
Crooked streets, buildings dull, dark corners, endless markets are supplied directly from old dhows that still sail from there on all the seas of the East: the spice souk, gold souk should be lean with sunglasses by excessive glare from the windows ... Dubai is, along with Beirut, the leading global gold market, but also the city that has more stores with products made of gold.
One of the oldest and winding neighborhoods, Shindagha, which still survive wind towers original (architectural system to cool the rooms below), is being restored to full speed. In fact, the obvious wealth of the emirate from not only oil, but a strange activity called re: purchase of goods from certain countries for resale to others. Keep in mind that the emirate is in a strategic point between East, West and East Africa. This display of goods explains the economic turmoil, the high number of large shopping centers where you can find everything. In fact, most visitors come to Dubai to buy.

Mezzo House. Architects Najas.

RMezze-P

Mezzo Residence is the first of a series of 4 private residences seeking re-imagine the type of central courtyard house through variations on the theme bar square. It introduced the first residence set on a plot of 1400m2, that the absence of a special context, I invite you to take 3 mobile design:

1 .- Rescue and integration of a jacaranda tree height of 18m.
The party sought to enhance the architectural role of a pre-existing jacaranda tree slightly eccentric to the west of the site. As for space, he was recognized as a reference node for integrating internal and external activities of the house. With regard to the volumetric, the tree is embraced by the volumes for integration into the overall architectural composition of the object.

The tree responds to this gesture, providing shade that penetrate the interior spaces and volumes that touch so that its presence is evident from every room and tours of the house.

2 .- MEZZO - The Desktop food as experiential axis.

Mez-zeh (meh-zay): Completion of Arab origin. Set snacks are usually served as part of a meal on a large scale that you can spend a long time.

The owners, of Lebanese origin, promote that when the table is always a ritual congregation. With this intention, the double-height main dining room can be integrated spatially her two sides to the outside. This hierarchical and flexible space, once you have opened the glass screens that flank it, forms the space for the "mezzo" by way of "empty" or central courtyard that sits on a deck of teak crossed by Jacaranda tree.

3 .- The squadron as a source of formal composition

Unlike the other 3 houses in which the design strategy sought insight into the set with backyard party, called Mezzo internal volumetric barriers to the east, west and north to give back to the public. This party in the form of "H" opens all views to the south-east where they discovered the Ilaló and jacaranda tree.

RMezze-12
Downstairs, the West is flanked by a service bar color coated quartz sand, and upstairs, another bar in cantilever containing the bedrooms in close physical and visual relationship with the "mezzo" jacaranda tree and Ilaló .
The social areas are framed by a glass large white concrete square crossed by another steel square slab that forms the lighter housing the "mezzo" interior. This intersection of planes in square forms part of the wooden door Seike 6m in height.
A large volume of 5 m cantilever embedded in the transparent cloth of social areas. It contains the master bedroom that it hovers over the tops of the existing orange trees and, with a rotation of 8 degrees to the south-east, looking to meet with the Ilaló.

The longitudinal circulation system proposes a narrative running through the empty space inside and the physical and visual openings to the outside in order to selectively disclose all the elements mentioned above.

Foeger Woman Pure. Pedrocchi Architekten

For 20 years, is "Foger Pure Woman" among the leading fashion houses in Austria. This is the work of its reliable and Midi Föger feel for styles and trends. In the 15,000-strong community Telfs in Tyrol offers its customers designer fashions from the world's major cities.

Foeger Woman Pure by Pedrocchi Architekten

Now they are surprised with a startling and new construction of their headquarters. The Swiss architect Reto Pedrocchi expanded the fashion house is a dome-shaped building that houses the collections of new and promising fashion designers like Alexander Wang (New York) and Peter Pilotto (London).

This is their peculiar way Midi Föger continued spectacular: "First-class fashion requires a first class sales framework", said the owner of Pure Woman Föger their concept. In Reto Pedrocchi they found an architect who is their bold ideas is a perfect setting. With its 140 m2 large production, he created a new landmark in the 15,000-strong community Telfs.

This architecture should stand out, "said the Basel architect. Despite his young age (born 1973), he looks back on an impressive list of buildings. Reto Pedrocchi worked for the world-renowned architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron as a project manager at the glass Prada flagship store in Tokyo, designed with his former partner Beat Meier for the common architectural firm Pedrocchi Meier Architects in countries such as China and Davos.

For the avant-garde Japanese label Comme des Garcons designed the Basel architects two so-called "guerrilla stores". Another highlight is the participation in a project of the Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. In Inner Mongolia, Reto Meier Beat Pedrocchi planned with one of 100 villas which will be implemented in 2011. Since completion of the expansion of the fashion house Föger in Pedrocchi Meier Architects, Reto Pedrocchi now runs his own architectural firm, Architects Pedrocchi, in Basel.

The fashion house "Föger Pure Woman" directed by the architect as a place of innovation and contemplation. A partial forward tilted glass wall extends over the entire complex and combines the old with the new upstream. This is held ostensibly calm, sober materials such as raw concrete and glass contrast with a natural stone floor in warm colors and a light emitting security concept.

The new extension is a modern place of pilgrimage, "says the architect. Focal point in the interior is an intersecting concrete beam that runs through the 7.3 meters high dome-like structure made of glass and concrete half way up. At his oversized coat hook hanging from metal. "I wanted to in the presentation of fashion new ways," said Midi Föger.

Ever since she took over the fashion house in 1988 as a sole proprietor of her father, she is the creme de la creme of international fashion. Since the beginning of her career she sells. Design by design legends such as Miuccia Prada, Ann Demeulemeester and Dries Van Noten. On the occasion of the renovation of her fashion house, she is now expanding its product line with a number of international newcomer: "Young women 35-50 draw today for fashion not as deep in the pocket.

In design and quality, but still want to make any compromises. "Midi Föger provides you with the creations of the American Shooting Stars Jason Alexander Wang and Wu, the Briton Christopher Kane or the Tyrolean it-designer Peter Pilotto fashion that you hardly ever in Austria gets.

Style, Midi Föger believes is not a question of age or income. It should also be in the future success of their spectacular Tyrolean house.
