House in Fukawa by Suppose Design Office.
It's called House in Fukawa, the project aims to make the property feel larger views by hiding its limits, giving the impression that the labyrinth of doors, platforms, confined spaces and can go on and outgoing. Because there are a lot of traffic in the area, considered the house, which is closed from the outside as much as possible, but still maintain its open space, without any pressure from the separation from the outside.
People can feel a bigger place increasing if they could not determine the size of it, such as the sky and the ocean. In other words, people think that a space is great when he felt the area as if the act goes on forever. "There's a ladder in the center of the house. It is surrounded by walls of a building as another, and is built to the ceiling. It stands as a core of the house. The backbone of all the rooms are connected like everyone else. The spaces are placed at random with various levels and angles. The inner layers of the rooms is like a place under a tree with leaves like a cave in a mountain.

Place on top of each room could also involve people as terraces. Due to the use of top boxes, there are several relationships in the home space as a room and a bedroom, living room and terrace, and a terrace and a terrace. The house is separated from the external environment, but inside the home may create a space as always continue to foot the construction of the center as a large tree. We believe that residents can enjoy living at home with comfort and in an environment of nature, that people could feel and imagine the amount of space.
The roof structure is timber. And the finish of each floor is as follows;
Ground floor:
Floor: mortar trawel + Wax wall: t = softwood tree enamel paint 9.0 + (t tile, softwood tree = 9.0 + patch of oil paint) roof: pine wood trees t = 9.0 + enamel paint (t tile, softwood tree = 9.0 + oil paint stain)
First floor, second floor:
Floor: mortar trawel + Wax wall: t = softwood tree enamel paint 9.0 + (t tile, softwood tree = 9.0 + patch of oil paint) roof: pine wood trees t = 9.0 + enamel paint (t tile, softwood tree = 9.0 + oil paint stain)

House in Fukuyama

Japanese suppose design office have recently completed 'house in fukuyama' in hiroshima, japan.
the three storey concrete residence is situated below street level. a main feature of the house
are its two tower stairwells - the entrances to the building, located on the rooftop.

This house  in Hiroshima, Japan, is nestled into the hillside beneath a road and commands views over the city of Fukuyama.

Rooms requiring privacy, such as bedrooms and bathrooms, are concealed in two towers, while the living and dining room occupy glazed plateaus in between.

The house in Fukuyama is standing at rising of a brae where it has a panoramic view of Fukuyama city.

The client wanted their house to open to the great view of the city, and on the same time, to close from surroundings for privacy.

For the two opposite requests, we designed the house considering a form of the site and its material use.

Because the site was placed at lower level of a street, all rooms were put at the level to block neighbors eyes, and at the opposite side, it is fully open to the Fukuyama city.

At the open side, living room and dining room is placed, and they have same finishes as exterior walls.

For rooms that are for private like a bathroom, they have more clean and smooth finishes.

Because of the differences of the site uses and material finishes, there are more varieties of atmosphere inside.

Moreover, through the same finish walls with outside, trees in a mountain and a courtyard are reflected to the inside. The shadows of the trees connect inside and outside more closely and open as if the interior is a part of the hill.

Cafe la miell by suppose design office is located in the heart of niihama city in ehime.
the old cafe la miell was unable to accommodate large numbers of customers with its
seating capacity,  so plans were made to open up a new cafe  across the street that would
be able to seat eighty.

The client wanted a two story building and to have more parking but more than that they
wanted the building to be a landmark in the area.

For the design they proposed to make use of the fact that the site was - one meter lower
than street level and rather than a two story cafe, make a split level with floors at
the building's own base level and street level,

Beams are placed in a rhythmic way which follows the two levels, and are held up with
steel and concrete posts spread out, creating a kind of dialogue between space and structure.
outside, pebbles are spread out on the beam slabs to match the landscape and the distinctive
shape.
