Marina Bay Sands.

 

Marina Bay Sands is a mixed-use complex located in the city-state of Singapore. Includes more than 2500 hotel rooms, a convention center, shops, restaurants, cinemas, a museum and a casino, all in a space located on the shores of the bay in Singapore and near the business district of the city in Asia.

 




The set has been designed by Moshe Safdie U.S. study for the developer Las Vegas Sands. It was partially opened on 23 June, although there are still some areas of the same for inagurar.Undoubtedly the most striking element of the complex are the three towers of 190 feet that house the hotel, crowned and united by a massive structure that gives rise to a park of 10,000 square meters height. The park includes sports fields, gazebos and even a swimming pool with spectacular views of vertigo.Complex applications are distributed as shown in the diagram below:

Urban plan proposal for Ansan city - south korea. Review Contest.

Today we review a proposed revision urban root of the current state of economic crisis a few years after surprise us by their approach and morphology.

 

Four architectural firms, BIG (Copenhagen), Inaba (Los Angeles), MAD (Beijing) and Mass Studies (Seoul)  proposed a development plan for Ansan, South Korea, to be displayed in the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art Ansan City begins on December 17, 2008.

 The joint project of the four companies versatile uses architectural forms that change in size and use. The directors of the four offices, Bjarke Ingels, Jeffrey Inaba, Ma Yansong, and Cho Minsuk reinterpret "economies of scale," the term to mean the value of a unique architectural form that operates on different scales. The works fit enough to make the same shape can be enlarged or reduced and still function as a building.

 Given today's economic situation, the architects propose an architecture that can be sized to accommodate changes in available funding. The forms have been developed so that if you reduce a capital investment project can be reduced, as an alternative, if more funding is available, the same way can be extended. These companies believe that architecture need not be habitable and in tune with human scale in one size, can be designed with greater utility in mind that the form can be enjoyed even when it reduces or increases by 40, 50 , or 60 percent.

Futur Open Space. Duran Blazquez Architects.

Futur open space is a renovation and expansion based urban generating a commercial and residential area to stimulate and encourage economic development in an area that has been left out of urban progress in the last period of economic expansion. Duran Blazquez Architects have developed this project in Spain.

 

Due to the good connection through communication channels of recent expansion, the area has a large potential for expansion to renew economic and social flow to this area of ​​the city by encouraging investment and urban renewal.

The virtual absence of consolidated urban fabric in this area facilitates development through systems equidistribution of burdens and benefits unopposed owners, with a win for the city, the environment and the owners of the land including and surrounding.
