Casadetodos. Veronica Arcos

The villa Casadetodos is a project that stems from a commission house one family in the top of the myrtle, Santiago.

The project is articulated on the intention to explore the potential of unconventional structures, the generation of complex surfaces and ensure views to the mountains.

The structural strategy is the placement of four metal frames on each axis. Each box is conceived as one piece of architecture that varies according to program needs, the creation of ruled surfaces, which makes a loft over them.

The frames are thus understood as a series of repeating components'that "and random variable in the benefit of the project.

These components attempt to express the structural stress as much as you can, leaving them naked, inside and outside the home.

These are inspired by bridges, with the aim of achieving a lean structure revealed the structural strength of vectors constructed.

From here you create large overhangs that give light to the volume of the gallows, and create a covered terrace below. Each room, with the exception of the service area is opened to the mountain.

Given the south facade, the rooms are lit at both the north with a courtyard and the skylights above the rooms on the second floor - remember in the southern hemisphere we have the sun in the north. The north facade is completely blind, because it is exposed to the street is at a higher level.

To obtain a degree of privacy in the second level, building a double curved surface, it will be a visual as well as protection of the beach-terrace on the roof.

In Casadetodos, leisure spaces are privileged spaces that allow a direct relationship with nature, whether in intimate spaces, or the establishment of opening up the mountain.
